YW UllalUllal: “Prophet Mohammed is a model for all of humanity, irrespective of who you are and what you do. He served as an example for everybody be it a common man, an official or a judge. To love him is to believe in him, follow his teachings, strengthen his ideals and encourage people in doing so. Nobody can attain the love of the Prophet just with the verbal repetition of hundreds of ‘Salaths’ without realizing the above facts”, said Mohammad Kunhi, the Manager of Shanthi Prakashana in a function organised by the Youth Wing of Jamat-e-Islami Hind at Ullal on 30 Jan 14.

He spoke with regards to the campaign “Nimma Charitrya Nishkalankavagirali” (Let your character be pure that is being conducted throughout the District. “Many acts done in the name of love for the Prophet is nothing but superstitions and contradictions, and people should be aware of such practices. Discussions on subjects like hair, vessels have become a common practice in our community. The Prophet has ordered mankind to save his teachings (Sunnah) and avoid falling into customary traditional practice of priesthood.” he said.

Sharfuddin Kuwait, chief guest and another main speaker at the function said that every sector like religion, health and education has become corrupt and commercial; despite of all this Muslims must strive to preserve their clean character always. The winners of the Qiraat (Quranic recitation) competition held before the function were honoured. All the participants were given awards for participation. At the event, Abdllathiff Tangal read the verses from the Quran, Ahmed Sharif gave an introductory speech, Moulavi Yahaya Tangal initiated the programme and Muzamil proposed the final vote of thanks.
