Those who love God, love entire humanity: Mohammed Kunni

Bhatkal: “A person who loves God, loves entire humanity, and not just one community or religion,” said Mohammed Kunni, Manager, Shanti Prakashana, Mangaluru, and Secretary, JIH Karnataka. He was speaking at JIH Bhatkal and Sadbhavana Manch’s Family-Get-Together and Sauharda Snajey Programme held in Bhatkal.
Kunni added, “Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has taught us that all people on the planet are members of God’s family and God loves those who do good to His family.” He also said, “All festivals send out powerful messages. We should be aware and take part in each other’s celebrations”.
Chief Guest, Father Laurence Fernandez, Ecclesiastical Secretary of the Sacred Heart Church in Karikal, said, “Let us learn to live as human beings first.”
Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal subdivision, Mamata Devi said before she came to Bhatkal, she had heard a lot of misinformation about the town. But after visiting Bhatkal she has realised that the people of this town live in peace and harmony. “This Eid gathering programme is a clear evidence of that,” she said.
President of the Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Gangadhar Naik, said, “Bhatkal’s soil has a pleasant aroma. This can be seen throughout its history. It is not a troubled area. It is rather an example of communal harmony”
Dr. Mamta Kamat, a medical officer at the taluk hospital, said, “We want Gandhi’s Hindu, and not Godse’s Hindu.”
Former MLA J.D. Nayaka, former president of District Working Journalists Association U.K. Radhakrishna Bhat, and President of Sadbhavana Manch, Satish Kumar Naik also spoke on the occasion.

President of JIH Bhatkal, Engineer Nazir Ahmad Qazi gave a vote of thanks. Muhammad Raza Manvi, the programme’s convener, welcomed the audience.
