Muslim – An Embodiment of Man’s Supremacy

May 11, 2011

The limitless expanse of space around us is in the form of universe which we know well. It’s so vast that whole of the solar system amounts to a space equal to the dot in a huge stadium. If one argues that man is superior over all other creatures; simply goes, it seems, beyond the limits of common sense.

The human intellect always tend to grasp the reality of things as they appear, by and large senses have no role to play. Sun is considered to be worthy of worship because of its vastness, tremendous heat and also its influence on living beings. Coming down on the earth, the oceans, rivers, mountains, trees have also occupied highly respectable place in the spiritual sphere of human beings.

The pages of human history have always portrayed a state of confused and unconvinced minds and hearts. The human intellect, in true sense, never stayed satisfied. That’s the reason why many people have innumerable gods, hypothetical beliefs, and unusual practices. Honestly speaking the human conscience is completely different when it comes to recognizing the true Creator:

If indeed you ask them who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon (to His Law), they will certainly reply, “Allah”. How are they then deluded away (from the truth)? (Al-Ankaboot: 61)

To rely upon the inner voice is true manifestation of God’s servant, he is a Muslim as he has bowed down before the will and wish of his Creator same as the case of the constituents of the universe, its nook and corner is strongly bonded with the laws of the Creator

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him is duty due always: then will you fear other than Allah? (An-Nahl: 52)

This is what we refer as the high standing of a Muslim. That unlike others he is directed by his inner self to the path of his Creator. Both in terms of beliefs and practices, the Muslims should justify their high status of a true servant. The Holy Quran, therefore, demands to perform virtuous deeds as long as one stays on the earth.

And serve your Lord until there come unto you the hour that is certain. (Al-Hijr: 99)

Everything that exists here depicts precise obedience of the Creator; the sun rises and sets down, the moon changes its shape, the earth rotates, the voyage of the galaxies and giant planets is along the prescribed paths. No one can dare to challenge their precision of obedience. Manifestation of this heavenly precision on the earth is in the form of Muslims. They are deputy of God on the earth. They are the bearers of the final message of their Merciful Lord for the entire humanity. Thus their personalities and their houses should revive the concept of a healthy society. Their mosques and their institutions should help others understand the purpose of life. Their customs and traditions should help others realize the Mercy of Allah. Their businesses and transactions should make others understand the true love of mankind. Their ceremonies and celebrations should direct others to the healthy ways of expressing joy and happiness.

In this sense, man is superior over all other creatures as he can disseminate the message of his Creator through his words and deeds which rest of the creatures can not. And a Muslim is nothing but an embodiment of man’s superiority.
