Mangalore, October 17: The city unit of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) on Sunday organised a special lecture on ‘Islamic Family and Inheritance Right’ at RL Convention Hall here.

Delivering the lecture in Urdu Maulana Sayyid Jalauddeen Umri, all India president of JIH, said that Islamic law of inheritance is based on justice.

K M Ashraf, State Secretary of the organisation translated the lecture into Kannada. Following which an interaction session was held and Mr Umri answered the questions of audience.Abdullah Javed, State Predient of JIH delivered introductory speech. Ishaq Puttur, Vice president, Mangalore city unit of JIH, welcomed the gathering. Imthiyaz Perla recited the verses of Qur’an. Rahmathullah M compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks. Rafeeq Ahmed, national joint secretary of JIH was present.
