Establishing a mosque is indeed Allah’s command: Ameer-e-Jamaat

October 16, 2011

“Establishing a mosque is indeed Allah’s command, but this will not be fulfilled by mere construction of the mosque, but it should be maintained by Islamic activities. Mosques are not only for offering namaz, instead they should become the centres of Islamic propagation” said Ameer-e-Jamaat Sayed Jalaluddin Umri in his presidential address. He was here in Arehalli for the inauguration of Masjid-e- Hira on 15 October 2011.

Citing the example of Masjid-e-Nabawi, Moulana said, “All important issues of the society were discussed in mosque. All judicial matters were carried out there. In fact, mosques play a revolutionary role in society.” Moulana also emphasized the need of reforming Muslims and called upon to invite Non-Muslims through words and deeds. “We should present Islam through our lives”, he said. “It is very saddening whenever someone points his finger towards the inaction of Muslims. Whereas it is the primary responsibility of Muslims to show what Islam is through their character”, he added.

Moulana expressed his happiness over the initiatives of the Jamaat in Arehalli and congratulated all those who had cooperated in the project.

Chief guests from Qatar, Shiekh Faisal Rashid Al Khiyareen, Shiekh Hasan Adil, Qatar, Moulana Kaka Sayeed Umari and many other government authorities too participated. Around 2000 people attended the programme in which a number of Non-Muslims also attended.
