HRS invited to discuss “Flood recovery in Karnataka”

Bangalore: The relief wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka, Humanitarian Relief Society (HRS) was invited by the Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority (Department of Revenue, Government of Karnataka) for a coordination meeting with NGOs  to Discuss “Flood recovery in karnataka on 17th Sep.3:30 pm at Vikasa Saudha, Bangalore. More than 30 NGO’s attended. HRS and Hira Welfare  foundation were the only two Muslim organisations representing in the meeting from the community. Basheer T A and Nizamuddin from Siddapur, Syed Saifuddin Irfan, coordinator, JIH Karnataka, Firoz khan and Yusuf khan from HRS Bangalore team part of the delegation of HRS attending the meeting. The HRS team introduced the relief activities of HRS volunteer all over Karnataka specially in Kodagu Siddhapura, Belagavi, Shimoga, Bagalkot, Uthar Kannada, Dakshina Kannada and Bijapur.  Priyanka Mary Francis, the director of the department appreciated the efforts of HRS and has assured to hold such coordination meetings in future too.
