Bangalore: A delegation of Karnataka State Minorities Commission headed by President G.A.Bawa and Secretary S.Anees Siraj visited Shanthi Sadan, the head office of Jamaat -e-Islami hind, Karnataka in R T Nagar, Bangalore. Dr.Mohammed Saad Belgami, state president, Janab Muhammad Yousuf Kanni, Vice president, Moulana Wahiduddin Khan, state secretary welcomed the delegation. The Jamaat authorities introduced the activities of Jamaat across the state especially the activities of the social service wing. Janab Akbar Ali, state secretary, Janab Mohammed Marakada, state assistant secretary explained the facilities being provided for minorities and other communities through NAGARIK SEVA KENDRA at different places of Karnataka by Jamaat volunteers. The delegation appreciated the services of the Jamaat in various sectors. The president of the commission assured to do some thing better for public service through government schemes. Dr.Naseem Ahmed and Brother Asim Jawad, state secretaries of Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) of India, Karnataka zone were also present in the meeting.
