Bengaluru’s Chamarajpet Hosts Goodwill Iftar Bringing Together Diverse Communities

The goodwill iftar party jointly hosted by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Mysore Road unit and Canara Computers in Bengaluru’s Chamarajpet neighborhood served as a vibrant platform for fostering intercommunity bonds and celebrating the city’s pluralistic fabric.

Addressing the gathering, Akbar Alli Udupi, Karnataka state secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, emphasized the importance of morality and character in nation-building. “The development of the country is not possible only through science and technology but also morality should be the core value of life,” he said, underscoring the need for a holistic approach to societal progress.

 

Parashuram, Manager of Canara Computers, echoed similar sentiments, expressing his wish for more such events that connect people’s hearts. “Such events that connect the hearts of human beings should be held everywhere,” he remarked, highlighting the significance of fostering mutual understanding and respect.

Riyaz Ahmed Rona, Joint Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Karnataka, set the tone for the evening with his introductory speech. “Just as we all love God, we should also love the servants of God,” he said, reminding attendees of the universal values that bind humanity together.

Imraan convened the program. Amir e Maqami Iqbal Ahmed Gudiyala of the JIH Mysore Road unit expressed satisfaction on organizing this program, stating it will create communal harmony in society. Social activist Nagesh and others also graced the occasion.

The iftar party served as a platform for people to be together, celebrate the spirit of Ramadan, and nurture a sense of community transcending social and religious boundaries. Such initiatives promote social unity and inspire others to embrace diversity, working towards a more inclusive and harmonious society
