Udupi: State President of Jamaat e Islami Hind Karnataka Jb. Muhammad Atharullah Shareef called upon every Muslim to be a Daee of Islam. It is the responsibility of every Muslim to spread the knowledge of Quran even if it is one verse, he said, while inaugurating month-long campaign ‘Quran For All’ launched by the Udupi district unite of Jamaat. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Udupi district observed a month-long campaign- Quran for All- from 1st to 31st March.

Study Quran with more interest: Moulana Madani

Saying that education based on belief of God and sense of accountability is essential for success, another speaker Moulana Wahiduddin Khan Umari Madani, said that the Quran is very much progressive in its contents. Moulana WKU Madani, who is also the president of Majlis Ulama Tehreek-e-Islami Karnataka, called on the audience to enhance the interest in Quran Study. “Interest to study the Quran should be enhanced further.  The Quran was revealed for entire humankind,” he said while addressing the gathering at the pre-campaign Ulama meet. Addressing the gathering at the ‘Community Meet’, Maulana Abdul Gaffar Hamid Umri, who is the organizer of Hassan region, said that it is essential to read, understand, implement and teach others the teachings of Quran.

Understanding other religions is essential: SP

Speaking at the concluding ceremony of the campaign, Superintendent of Police Mr. Anna Malai said that the understandings other religions is essential. Misunderstanding about others’ beliefs leads to clashes among the followers. Thus such events are must, he said. President of Kannada Sahitya Parishat Mr. Nilavara Surendra Adiga said that the Islam means submission. Quran promotes love, coexistence, coordination, serving the humanity in a person. The personality that Quran builds will renovate the society, he said. Manager of Shnati Prakashana Mangaluru, Jb. Muhammad Kunhi,  presided over the programme.

About 1000 copies of the Quran gifted:

During the campaign, the cadre of the Jamaat visited the households and gifted about thousand copies of the Quran and 20000 copies of litterateurs in Kannada, English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil languages. Dignitaries like District Collector, Superintendent of Police, Seers of Krishna Temple, College Lecturers, Doctors, Priests of Churches, and Government officers were personally met during the campaign. Model Expo competition for female students was also conducted during the campaign. Programmes for ladies were also conducted by the Women’s Wing at various places.
