Mangalore, March 6: Around one thousand members belonging to over two hundred Muslim families from across Mangalore taluk got together at a pleasant area in Sankolige beach near Beeri on the outskirts of the city on Sunday.

The weekend family get together was organised by the Mangalore Taluk unit of Jama’ath-e-Islami Hind.
Men, women and children converged at the venue at around 10 am and enjoyed the whole day participating in various games and competitions and interacting with each other apart from prayers and speeches, before dispersing at around 5:30 pm.
A game of Kabbaddi, poets meet and quiz were organised separately for men, women and children.
Muhammed Kunhi, JIH DK Youth Wing President, spoke on the personality development. KM Shareef delivered valedictory speech.
