Bangalore: “Media has emerged as a power in today’s society. We need to tap this power to guide the society and nation”, said Janab Syed Tanveer Ahmed, Editor, Karnataka Muslims Fortnightly and member, advisory council, JIH Karnataka while addressing on “Penetration in Media-Why and How?” in the one-day workshop held for the Jamaat media coordinators from across the state here on Sunday, 28th December 2014. Janab Laeequllah Khan Mansoori, Media Coordinator, JIH Karnataka highlighted the importance of media, its positive and negative role and the way forward for the Muslim ummah in his inaugural address. Janab B.R. Abdul Wajid, Director, Channel Advertising and Media Publicity, Bangalore dealt with “Penetration in Print and Electronic Media”, whereas Br. Asim Khan presented guidelines to utilize social media for the cause. Janab Shabbeer Ahmed, Mangalore, Janab Kashif Khan, Bangalore and Janab Muhammad Ziaullah, Gulbarga shared their experiences in media. Janab Syed Murad and Janab Mohsin Iqbal compered the workshop. The workshop concluded with the speech of Janab M.P. Basheer Ahmed, Secretary, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka.
