Bangalore: An interactive programme on “Islam and Muslims-Media Projections” was held for the Muslim journalists in Bangalore presided by the national president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Moulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari saheb on Wednesday September 3, 2014 at BIFT lecture hall. Moulana appealed to the Muslim journalists to boldly present the Islamic solution to the issues faced by the society. Moulana highlighted the necessity to upgrade the Urdu media to serve the community more efficiently. Necessity of training the new generation for the media was also felt during the interaction. Janab Syed Tanveer Ahmed, Member, Advisory Council, JIH Karnataka moderated the interaction. Dr. Belgami Muhammad Sa’d, State Secretary, JIH Karnataka presented the inaugural talk. Whereas Janab Laeequllah Khan Mansoori, Media Incharge, JIH Karnataka compered the programme.
