Where are you heading to?
If we look around today, we find everyone in a race. Be it elderly or young, men or women, educated or illiterate, each one seems to be busy in the race of life. Some are busy in hoarding wealth, some in amassing luxuries and some others are competing with others to raise the standard of life.
The men of this era are in a race,
My wall shall be taller than yours
Still their lives lack peace and tranquility, rather dilemmas, confusions, restlessness are constantly increasing. Human bonds are devoid of love and trust. Families are getting broken and shattered. Sympathy, loyalty and generosity, have become blurred engravings of the past.
Several villages were washed away in Kashmir floods recently. Destruction and devastation caused by Tsunami waves is still fresh in memories. Cheerful lives and glittering cities were ruined in no time. All these events are clear admonitions, but only for those who heed!
The tragedy was severe than the mishap;
Even seeing the mishap People did not stop
Take a glance around, you find obscenity, evils, crimes and ailments flowing like flood across. Virtues, values, etiquettes and ethos appear to have been eroded. Whether it is a city or town, market place or office, or university, railway station or police station; conditions are common. The four walls of homes are not safe either. Woman is the easy victim of these mishaps. Her honour and dignity, her life and property are at stake. Each day we come across incidents of harassment in newspapers and television channels. Mothers, sisters, wives and daughters are wailing and sobbing, but the end to their pain remains invisible.
In the same society we also come across some people who are uninfected by these evils. There exist such organizations and institutions which are striving for the welfare of the people. They are working towards the good of the society. The need is to identify the right path.
Girls Islamic Organisation, is a student movement that has emerging as a ray of hope and light of a new dawn. It is knocking at every living soul and every house, every family and every section of the society asking … Where are you heading to?
Girls Islamic Orgaisation, Karnataka wishes to build a beautiful society that shall be an abode of peace and harmony full of virtues and etiquettes. Society changes through individuals. A change in every individual will change the society. If garbage is cleaned from every house yard, the entire area gets cleaned.
With these objectives, Girls Islamic Organisation, Karnataka, is organizing a 15 days campaign ‘Where are you heading to?’ from 12th to 26th October 2014. During the course of the campaign individual and collective meets, lectures at schools, colleges and hostels, public address, symposiums, etc. will be held.
Come; let us build ideal character and exemplary society. Join hands for a noble cause
