Bangalore: On October 10, 2016 The Advisory Council members of GIO Karnataka has unanimously elected Mis. Navida Husain Asadi as the new State President of GIO Karnataka for the remaining period of the present term (October 2016- Dec 2017). Following the resignation of Sister Seema Kouser Chowdhry due to her ill health the emergency Advisory Council meet held at Shanti Sadan Bangalore, under the Supervision of Chief Patron of G.I.O Karnataka, Janab Mohammed Atharullah Shariff Sahab.
Navida Husain Asadi hailing from Udupi is the daughter of Muhammed Hussain Assadi and Sara Bapu Saheb. She was the General Secretary in the present term and has graduated in Science from Mangalore University.
The State Office Bearers were appointed by the President with Consultation of Advisory Council Members are as follows.

- Joint Secretary: Nabeela Almas Mulla, Hubli
