Promote interfaith understanding at all levels-S Memon

BlgmBelgum: Religious leaders, intellectuals and social workers needs to work in their own communities and give proper guidance and direction to the youths. There is also need of promoting interfaith understanding at all levels, which will create mutual respect and tolerance and better human relations said Shahid Memon, advisory council member of JIH, Karnataka. He was presiding over the  symposium on “peace and humanitarian values the need of the hour” organized by JIH at Mahatma Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday 31 Aug evening.

Mohamaed Kunni, Manager of Shanti Prakashan, Mangaluru, said presently, an atmosphere of fear and insecurity existed between different communities in the country. The efforts of JIH are small step to create an atmosphere of trust among people of different communities.

IMG-20160902-WA0006Social worker and environmentalist Shivaji Kaganikar and Siddaram Swami of Naganur Rudrakshi Matt were honoured with Sadbhavana Award on behalf of The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Belgaum carrying “peace and humanitarian campaign” nationwide.
Speaking after receiving award, Siddaram Swami appreciated the efforts of JIH in promoting peace and humanity in society. He called upon people to rise above caste, community, religion and language to support JIH in this noble cause.
