Raichure: As part of silver jubilee celebrations of the Mangalore based Shanti Prakashana series of programmes organised by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Raichur. The programme comprised of a book exhibition, symposium & kavi ghoshti(poets meet).

The book fare was inaugurated by former minister Mrs. B. T. Lalita Naik, Vice president Welfare Party of India on November 20 at Veershaiva Kalyan Mantap at 7:00 pm. Sri Shantamalla Shivacharya Swamiji and Ramanjanylu, DDPU also spoke on the occasion. The programme presided by Janab Mohammed Kunni Manager Shanti Prakashana. Three books recently published by shanti prakashana were also released in the Programme.

On November 21 at 7:00pm, a seminar titled “Literature & Social Transformation” was held for women. The seminar was chaired by Fahimunnisa begum. L.V.D college lecturer Sheeladas, AME college lecturer Rajashri Kallurkar and Khairunnisa Begum were guest speakers.

On November 22 at 7:00 pm, poets meet was organised. Renowned writer Babu Bhandari chaired the session. Lal Hussain Kandagal delivered the valedictory address. Many poets from nearby districts entertain & motivated the gathering.

Grand book fare was a huge success with good response from peoples of Raichur & surrounding areas.
