JIH Karnataka leaders meet

Gadag July 3: At the dawn of new four years terminal period (meeqat) a two day training programme for Local Unit Heads of Karnataka state was held at Gadag 2nd and 3rd July 2011.  Basically the camp was meant to explain the new policy, Centre’s targets and programme for the years 2011-15.  Selected local heads presented their important experiments of last term, while few others presented their vision for the forthcoming term.  Dr. Muhammad Rafath Central Secretary, under whose supervision the camp was held, explained the new policy and pointed out the salient features of leadership. He also spoke on how to present Islam as the only alternative to the countrymen.  Mr.S.Aminulhasan, the Central Advisory Council member and zonal secretary spoke on the etiquettes of Advisory Council and Islamic family system. The camp commenced with the discourse of Quran by zonal shoora member Dr.Md.Taha Mateen. Another shoora member Moulana Wheeduddin Khan gave a Hadith discourse. Likewise Mr.Akbar Ali, another shoora member presented the model of social service.  One more shoora member Mr.Syed Tanvir Ahmed suggested ways and means to uplift the community educationally and economically.  Mr.Tahir Hussain, Secretary Board of Islamic Education, enlightened the audience with the methodology of planning.  Zonal president Mr.Mohammed Abdulla Javid inaugurated the camp and guided the participants with beautiful tips in the valedictory address.   Around 400 persons, men and women, participated.
