Jamaat delegation meets Governor

Bangalore: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka Zone organized a 10 days campaign ‘Towards Evil Free Society’ from 09 to18 December 2011. During the campaign a solution from Islamic teachings was presented to the public by various means such as seminars, symposium, inter religious dialogue, rallies, press conference etc., throughout the state of Karnataka. On the conclusion of the campaign a delegation met Karnataka State Governor H. Bhardwaj.

During the talk with the Governor, Moulana Farooq Khan, a eminent scholar and leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, pointed out the root cause of the evils in the society and highlighted the solution for these problem. Abdullah Javeed, State Prseident, JIH, Karnataka, briefed Governor about campaign and the activities carried during the campaign period. Governor after giving a hearing appreciated the works carried out and stressed the need of such efforts. He also said that it is the work of one and all and he assured his support for such efforts.

The delegation presented a memorandum and a copy of resolution adopted in an inter-religious dialogue. In the delegation Moulana Farooq Khan, Delhi, Abdullah Javeed, State Prseident, Dr. Mohammed Saad Belgami, State Secretary, Tahir Hussain, State Joint Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Taha Mateen, Bangalore City President, Moulana Waheddudin Khan Umri Madani, Prseident, Ulema Council, Karnataka were present.
