Tirthally: In a remarkable display of religious harmony and community engagement, the Girls Islamic Organisation (GIO) and JIH women Wing of Tirthally organised a thought-provoking Iftar program for women and girls. The event aimed to foster understanding and appreciation of the Islamic faith, particularly the significance of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.

With unwavering enthusiasm, the GIO cadre worked tirelessly to invite influential women from the Tirthally, including the esteemed Kulsoom Abubaker, Assistant Editor of the Anpama Monthly magazine, as the guest speaker.

Ms. Kulssom captivated the audience with her candid and insightful discourse on the essence of Islam, fasting, and the teachings of the Quran. Her eloquent words and profound knowledge left the attendees mesmerised, deepening their understanding and appreciation of the Islamic faith.

The event was graced by the presence of accomplished women from various walks of life, including educators, principals, bank employees, and government officers. Among them were Smt. Sonia, a headmistress, who expressed her belief that learning about other faiths empowers individuals to build a more tolerant society.

Smt. Kalpana Devi, another attendee, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the observance of Ramadan, thanking the organisers for extending an invitation to her.

Smt. Sujata Devi, a government employee, underscored the importance of understanding and respecting one another in a pluralistic society.
