**Shirur Landslide: HRS Team Delivers Essential Supplies to Victims**

**Uttar Kannada:** In the wake of a devastating landslide in Uluvere village near Shirur, several families are grappling with the aftermath. The catastrophic event completely destroyed seven houses and partially damaged 21 others, leaving many residents in dire need of assistance.

The Humanitarian Relief Society (HRS), based in Karnataka and supported by volunteers across the state, swiftly responded to the crisis. HRS activists conducted an initial survey to assess the damage. Following this, teams from Udupi, Uttara Kannada, and Dakshina Kannada visited the site to distribute essential ration supplies to the affected families.

An HRS spokesperson affirmed their commitment to supporting the rehabilitation of the victims in the coming days. According to local reports, the landslide claimed the lives of 10-11 individuals. Eight bodies have been recovered so far, including five members of a family who ran a tea shop. Rescue operations continue in the effort to locate the lorry driver from Kerala, believed to be buried under the debris.
