August 30, 2024

Bangalore, August 29, 2024 — A significant press conference was held today at the BIFT Office, Darussalam, to launch a month-long campaign titled “Morality is Freedom,” organized by the Women’s Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) Karnataka. The event was a call to address growing concerns about the state of moral values and social ethics in contemporary society.

*Current Societal Challenges:*
The speakers highlighted the multifaceted crises currently affecting society, particularly the youth. They stressed that utilitarian and capitalist influences have led to a widespread erosion of traditional moral values. This erosion is evident in the increasing prevalence of issues such as alcohol addiction, gambling, live-in relationships, homosexuality, and prostitution. According to the organizers, these behaviors are not only undermining personal moral standards but are also creating severe disturbances within families and the broader community.

The proliferation of social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram h

The initiative seeks to revive and promote moral values, underscoring that true happiness and freedom can only be achieved through good morals and ethical behavior. The campaign’s focus will be on educating the youth about the dangers of a misconceived notion of freedom and guiding them towards a life aligned with spiritual and ethical principles.

She stated that the primary aim of the campaign is to help young people understand the importance of morality and to prevent them from falling into the traps set by consumerist and hedonistic influences.
