Shanti Prakashana Releases Fourth Volume of Tafheemul Qur’an in Kannada

10354825_341077932755576_4376984725148736159_nDharwad (9-11-2014): The fourth volume of Tafheemul Qur’an in Kannada by Shanti Prakashana, Mangalore was released here  in Alur Venkata Rao Cultural Hall by Dr. Patil Puttappa, senior journalist and a freedom fighter during a releasing ceremony and a symposium on “Needs of an Ideal Society and Holy Books”. Dr. Patil Puttappa speaking on the beauty of Islam, said, Islam is a religion of peace, it teaches equality and social justice, it uplifts women, it is an ideal religion. It is necessary to understand it and clarify our minds from various misapprehensions. The symposium was presided over by Janab Muhammad Atharullah Sharif, President, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, (JIH) Karnataka who highlighted the moral crisis in the society and presented Islam as the solution to all problems faced by humanity today. Shri Shri Dingaleshwara Maha Swamiji, Balehosur said, “Divine books show us the path of life, we should follow its principles instead of mere reading it. Earlier people were illiterate, but were civilised, whereas today’s generation seems to be literate but is uncivilised”. Dr. Satish Kumar Hosamani, Director, Public Libraries, Karnataka said that the holy books have the power to change and develop the society in the right direction. Janab Muhammad Kunhi, Manager, Shanti Prakashana, Mangalore highlighted the purpose of Qur’anic revelations stating the Qur’an has come to establish justice in the society. Dr. Muhammad Belgami Muhammad Saad, secretary, JIH Karnataka and Dr. Iqbal Shaikh, Dharwad also spoke at the ocassion.
