‘Serving poor & suffering is first duty of doctors’

Bijapur: The Bijapur city unit of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind conducted a free health checkup camp in the premises of the Usmania Masjid here on Thursday 17 December 2012.
Al Ameen Medical College Dean B S Patil speaking after inaugurating the camp, said, “If socio-religious organisations like Jamaa-e- Islami Hind thought it is their sacred duty to serve the suffering humanity, for the medical fraternity serving the poor and suffering is the first duty.”
He extended all kind of assistance to the noble service the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind was doing,
Janab Mohammed Ismail Kazi spoke about the social services the organisation had been doing for the society. Mr Abdur Rahaman Nasir highlighted the importance of social service and service to the less privileged of the society.
The programme began with the chanting of the Holy Quaran. A team of doctors of Al Ameen Medical College provided their service at the camp.
As many as 250 patients of Nisar Maddi and Tipu Sultan Slum suffering from various kinds of diseases were checked and given free medicines.
