Uppinangadi: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Uppinangadi unit organised a two-day public discourse of Qur’an in Kannada language during 26th and 27th February 2015 at Govt. Higher Primary School here on “Human Rights” and “Moral Values” presented by noted Kannada orators Janab Muhammad  Kunhi, Manager, Shanti Prakashana, Mangalore and Janab Muhammad Ishaq Puttur, vice president, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mangalore respectively. The Quran Pravachana was attended by around 500 people which included more than 100 brothers and sisters from different faiths on both days. Shri Shri Veerabhadra Channamalla Swamiji, Manava Dharma Peetha, Nidumamidi Samsthana Matha and Shri Shri Shivarudra Mahaswamigalu, Shri Beli Matha Mahasamsthana, Bangalore inaugurated the Qur’an Pravachana on day one and day two respectively. Shri Keshava Gowda Bajatturu, member, D.K. Zilla Panchayat, Uppinangadi, Advocate Ashvini Kumar Rai, Assitant Governor, Zone-5, Rotary District, Advocate Mahesh Kaje, member, Karnataka Legal Service Authority, Bangalore and SHri Kulle Gowda M.T., Tahsildar, Puttur were the cheif guests during the programmes. Taltaje Vasantha Kumar, Retd. professor, Mumbai University also spoke on the occasion.
