Davangere: The local unit of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Davangere organised a two-day public discourse of Qur’an in Kannada language during 24th and 25th February 2015 at Shrimad Abhinava Renuka Mandir PB Road here on “Qur’an and Universal Peace” and “System of Justice” presented by noted Kannada orator Janab Lal Husain Kandgal. Quran Pravachana was attended by around 750 people which included more than 450 brothers and sisters from different faiths. The reception committee included Shree Basava prabhu Maha Swamiji from basava kendra, Shri virakta matta and Shri Omkara Shivacharya Swamiji Puravarga Matta awaragulla were the guests of honour for the pravachana. Shri M.K. Bakkanna, Secretary, Shri Jayavibhava Vidhya Samsthe Davangere, Jayadevayya, Educationist, B.K. Ishwarachandra, Principal D.Ed College, Grupadappa Shastri, Hindi Pandit, Shri Adinavappanavaru, Secretary Halakere Shri Annadanishwara Matta and K Imam sab, Secretary Bapuji High School, Davangere.
