Hassan: Senior Member of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Hassan, Moulana Abdul Qadeer Islahi saheb passed away today (July 1, 2015) here in the afternoon. Moulana aged about 82 years, was a great Islamic scholar with passion for teaching Qur’an and its language to hundreds of students in Hassan, Bhatkal, Hoode and many other places. Moulana became the member of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind in 1975. Moulana has served as the president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Hassan. Moulana has studied Bukhari Shariff from Moulana Husain Ahmed Madani in Darul Uloom Deoband during 1957-58. Moulana has also written a few books for learning Arabic and has translated a few from Arabic to Urdu as well. Janab Muhammad Atharullah Shariff, state president, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka has condoled his death as a great loss to the Islamic Movement. Moulana Islahi was one among the senior most members of Jamaat and belonged to the first row of the movement. He was a scholar with action and had dedicated his life for Islam. He was straight forward in expressing the truth, teaching Arabic was his passion, hundreds have benefited from his knowledge, he added. Ameer-e-Halqa has prayed that may Allah forgive his sins, elevate him in Jannatul Firdous and give patience to his friends and relatives.
