Mangalore: The local unit of Youth Wing Jamaat-e-Islami Hind organised a blood donation camp at ARK School in Bengre Kasba, here on 30May 2012. KMC blood bank officer Dr. Shrijith, who was the chief guest on the occasion, explained the significance of blood donation.Tannirbavi Sports Club president Naveen Suvarna appreciated the efforts of Youth Wing. DK district vice president of the organisation Muhammad Muhsin presided over the programme.
He said this was the seventh blood donation camp organised by Youth Wing in and around the city this year. As many as 1000 units of blood have already been collected through these camps.
He said that Youth Wing strived to make youths useful for society and prevent them from becoming a problem. He also said that Youth Wing’s service is not confined to Muslims but it worked for the benefit of all the people.
