Jamaat Youth Wing organizes “A Trip for Change”

YW Trip BANGALORE. Mar. 20, 2013. The Youth Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Bangalore North set out on a one-day trip to Kolar Mountains on Sunday 17th March 2013. Around 25 activists joined this trip of ‘edutainment’ led by Janab Laeequllah Khan Mansoori, coordinator, Youth Wing, JIH Bangalore North. The journey was flagged off by the dua of Janab Syed Ruhulla sb, Secretary, JIH Bangalore Metro in the morning. Janab Naveed Imran Maniyar, coordinator, Youth Wing, JIH Bangalore Central read out the detailed supplication (dua) of journey. Janab Laeequllah Khan Mansoori (Ameer-e-Safar) explained it. This was followed by a session of mutual introduction during the journey, enjoying the view of mountains on both sides of the highway as the team approached Kolar.

The trip-team was welcomed by the team of Students Islamic Organisation of India, Kolar Unit. After a break for refreshments, a session of interaction was coordinated by the Ameer-e-Safar on the Islamic perspectives of ‘journey and entertainment’ highlighting the greater journey of every man towards hereafter and provision for entertainment in Islam through various examples from Quran and Seerah. Janab Imtiyaz Baig briefed the whole day’s schedule in his inaugural talk. This was followed by a discussion on the ‘lessons from the story of Ashab-e-Kahf’ moderated by Janab Laeeq Mansoori. Janab Naveed Imran introduced Youth Wing JIH and its ambitions in detail. This was followed by a session on ‘Life Management’ conducted by Janab Laeequllah Khan Mansoori. An Islamic Quiz was conducted in the afternoon session and winners were felicitated.

It was around 4 pm that the team left to sightseeing and mountaineering. The bus took us to the heights of the greater mountains of Kolar. The youths went on a further trekking to have a panoramic view of Kolar town from atop the mountain. The team returned from the mountain and headed towards a lake surrounded by mountain rocks where the team competed in sports. On the return journey to Bangalore, the Ameer-e-Safar explained the lessons that the mountains and Allah’s nature teach us. The team offered Magrib in congregation in a mosque on the highway, probably made for travelers. Al Hamdulillah, every individual enjoyed the trip and was charged up to contribute for the betterment of the society.
