Bangalore: The Youth Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Bangalore North held its first Activists Meet at Masjid-e-Sa’d Bin Abi Waqas in Ex-servicemen Colony of R.T. Nagar on May 13, 2012. Janab Sheikh Haroon Safdar, President, JIH Bangalore North presiding over the first session encouraged the youths gathered to get inspiration from Khurram Murad, Muhammad Bin Qasim and Sultan Muhammad Fateh who have recorded great contributions and recognition for Islam and Muslims during their youth age.
Janab Laeequllah Khan Mansoori, Coordinator, Youth Wing, JIH Bangalore North in his inaugural address emphasized on combining the power of youth and ‘Ijtimayiath’ (Collective Struggle) to bring a change in self and society. Earlier Moulana Abul A’la Nadvi, Coordinator, YW, JIH Sanjay Nagar presented a Qur’anic discourse. Janab Asim Khan, Regional Secretary, SIO Karnataka in his power-point-presentation on “Scope for Youth Activism” defined activism and described the types of activism prevalent in society. He stressed on the need of activism for communal harmony in a state like Karnataka where every effort is been made to communalise the society and create a gulf of hatred among the people.
The presentation was followed by an open session. In his concluding speech, Moulana Azharullah Khan Qasmi, Asst. Coordinator, YW, JIH Karnataka inspired the activists to gear up for a relentless activism for a social change in our vicinities. Janab Syed Ateeq Pasha, Coordinator, YW, JIH Ex-servicemen Colony and Janab Habeebur Rahman, Asst. Coordinator, YW, JIH Bangalore North were the conveners for the two sessions held.
