Jamaat, striving to establish peace and order: M Kunni

Uppinangady: The prophets of Allah have delivered his responsibility of accomplishing peace and order in the society by freeing it from injustice, obscenity and abuse. Muslim community has the divine duty of carrying forward this responsibility. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has been striving to continue the same mission over the last 65 years, said Mohammed Kunhi, karnataka state joint secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

Addressing a public meeting in the premises of Masjidul Huda in Nekkiladi, on March 9. he said the Dakshina Kannada Jamaat has been conducting a campaign on the topic ‘For a better nation, for a better future’ to introduce the activities of the organization to the people.

M. Kunhi said, Jamaat had chalked out a manifesto for a healthy society bereft of any evils. “Reforming the community, propagation of religion and social service are the three core areas on which Jamaat focuses its activities,” he said.

The programme began with the recitation of Quranic verses by Sadeed Pakkaladka. Jamaat local unit president Amin Ahsan welcomed and proposed a vote of thanks.
