Jamaat organises “Harmony” Islamic Expo in Shimoga


Shimoga: The Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Shimoga Unit has organised a ‘Harmony’ Islamic Exhibition (Journey towards peace) from 22nd April to 30th April 2015 at Karnataka Sangha in Shimoga. The expo comprising of Islamic models, book fair and Qur’an pavilion was inaugurated on 22nd April in the august presence of Shri Panditaaradhya Shivacharya Swami, Sanehalli Matha, Chitradurga District, Sri K.B. Prasanna Kumar, MLA Shivamogga, Smt. Sharada Poorya Naik, MLA Shivamogga Rural, Janab Akbar Ali, member, Zonal Advisory Counsil, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka. The inaugural Session was presided by Janab Mulla Liyaqath Ahmed, member, Zonal Advisory Counsil, JIH Karnataka.


An Women’s conference was held on 24th April on “Women, Sculptor of Humanity” presided by Mrs. Shameera Jahan, Asst. Organisor, JIH Women’s Wing, JIH Karnataka, whereas Mrs. Tashkeela Khanum, Asst. Organisor, JIH Women’s Wing, JIH Karnataka and Smt. Sharada Poorya Naik, MLA Shivamogga Rural were the chief guests.


A students’ conference was held on 25th April, and a Millath Conference on 26th April presided by Moulana Abdul Ghaffar Hamid Umri, regional organiser, JIH Hassan region, whereas Moulana Ahmed Siraj Umri Qasmi, rector, Faizul Uloom, Hubli and Moulana Waheeduddeen Khan Umri Madani, Organiser, Majlisul Ulama, Karnataka were the chief guests.



A Qur’an Pravachana is scheduled to be held on 28th and 29th April to be presented by Janab Muhammad Kunhi, Manager, Shanti Prakashana, Mangalore. The concluding programme will be held on 3oth April In Sha Allah.
