Hoode: Noted Hindu religious scholar and the chief pontiff of Puttige Matt  Shri SugunendraTirtha Swamiji called  upon countrymen to adapt virtuous response while fighting against evils prevailing in the society.

“Belief in God is the groundwork for the oppression -free society. It controls humankind from all the evils. What the belief in God demands is the virtuous reaction against the evils,” said Shri SugunendraTirtha Swamiji.

He was addressing the gathering at a public conference – ‘Oppression-free society and the Prophet Muhammad (S)’- organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Hoode on 16 February 14.

Another guest Rev. Dr. Kenyut Barboza of Milagrace College said, “the One-God concept preached by the Prophet Muhammad was not mere a religious philosophy, but a social revolution wherein Arab opponents gave up their brutal infightings and freed the people from oppression.”

He also introduced the different means adapted by the Prophet in ensuring emancipation of women. “That model is still viable,” he said.

In his presidential address, Mr. Salim Pasha, Teachers’ Training Officer from Hassan said the honest belief in the God is the only way to free the society from all kinds of exploitations.

“Prophet Muhammad (S) upheld the human dignity. He defined every human being as the envoy of the God and educated the men not to exploit each other. Thus he closed down all the paths leading towards exploitation by bringing significant change in the mindset of people.” he said.

 Mr. C Kotyan, District President of Mogaveera Youth Organization and Janardhana Kotyan, P resident of Shri Gajanan Billawa Sewa Sangha were also present in the occasion.

The programme commenced with the recitation of Quranic verses by Maulana Asghar Ali Qasmi. Mr. Idris Hoode welcomed the gathering and Mr. Yasin compered the event.
