‘Youth Spring’ Conference of Solidarity Youth Movement

Bangalore: A delegation led by Janab Taher Hussain, State Coordinator, Youth Wing, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Karnataka attended ‘Youth Spring’ Conference held at the Kozhikode (Calicut) beach during 17-19 May 2013 being formally invited by Solidarity Youth Movement, Kerala. The delegation included Janab Naveed Imran Maniyar, Janab Laeequllah Khan Mansoori and Janab Shabbeer Ahmed, members, State Advisory Committee of Youth Wing,

The ‘Youth Spring’- Kerala’s Decade with Solidarity was organized to mark the completion of 10 years of Solidarity’s struggle. The conference saw 15 sessions, more than 120 guests, a massive exhibition comprising of 3D models and a variety of display items, 58 stalls, 44 documentary shows, live events, games and competitions, and much more.

The delegation met Janab Siddique Hasan, vice president, JIH, Janab T.Arif Ali, state president, JIH Kerala and Janab Bishruddeen Sharqee, former president, Students Islamic Organisation of India and congratulated its host; Janab Shaheen K, and the team of solidarity for their successful conference. A few Youth Wing activists from Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu also attended the conference.

Jamaat hope friendly and non-corrupt government

Bangalore: Amire Halqa, JIH Karnataka State, Muhammad Abdullah Javed sb, along with the delegation of Karnataka Muslims Muttehida Mahaz met with the Chief Minister of Karnataka Mr Siddaramaiah at his residence and greeted him for being elected as the 22^nd Chief Minister of the state. Speaking to him, the state amir reminds him of the ensuring the welfare state of the nation and stressed upon fulfilling the needs of the citizens of the state. The major highlights of his discussion with the chief minister being, transparent governance, corruption free state and historic initiatives to meet out the challenges that the state is facing. He later presented the chief minister with The Kannada Transalation of the Holy Quran and a book on the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The delegation that met the chief minister consists of Masood Abdul Khader, the convenor of Mahaz, Moluana Ifteqaar Qasmi, President Jamiat-e-Ulema Karnataka, Moulana Qadeer Ahmed Adaul Aamri, Rector Jamia An-Nooria, Bangalore, Moulana Maqsood Imran, Imam City Market Jamia Masjid etc.

Other issues like Muslims representation in administrative services were also discussed during the meet. Proceeding to the Assembly election in the state, KMMM had assured its support to the Congress which ultimately helped the party to come in power.

“Prophet Muhammad(s)-Benefactor of Humanity”

Bangalore: “Prophet Muhammad (s) was a benefactor of humanity even before he was blessed with the responsibility of prophethood, as he was involved in a peace pact of Hilful Fuzool to avoid bloodshed and also solved a crisis when the leaders of different clans claimed to have the sole right of placing the black stone on Kaa’ba after its renovation. He changed the destiny of Arabia and later of entire world. Historians were amazed at the marvelous and bloodless revolution brought by Prophet Muhammad (s) and were forced to conclude that he was helped by the divine force of Almighty. He was the last string of the golden chain of messengers. He gave God back to man and man back to God. His life was nothing but Qur’an. He translated every word of Qur’an into action. He is being followed even after more than 1400 years and will continue to be followed till the last child is born in this world.”, said Mr. Muhammad Imran Sait, treasurer, Islamic Foundation Trust, Chennai and former city president, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Chennai while addressing on “Prophet Muhammad(s)-Benefactor of Humanity” in a special programme organized here in Hotel New Shanti Sagar, Kormangala by the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Kormangala unit of Bangalore South on 27 April 2013.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor V. N. Narsimiah, former professor of history, Aacharya Pathashala, Bangalore said, “The fact that Muslims are the second largest population in the world and looking at the number of Muslim countries across the globe one can understand the far reaching influence of Prophet Muhammad (s) in the whole world. Prophet taught more of ethics and nobility of conduct. Cleanliness, chastity, forgiveness, friendship, gratitude, humility, justice, kindness, peace, love and harmony are the focal points of his teachings which should be enumerated by one and all.”

Mr. Ghulam Moula, President, JIH Bangalore South in his welcome address highlighted the necessity of knowing the purpose of life, the absence of which leads to the kind of turmoil we are living in. Islam has shown that the life given to us is to examine who among us does good deeds to be rewarded by Allah in the hereafter. Mr. Narayan Zadakia, Manager, Punjab National Bank, Kormanagala branch also spoke on the occasion. The programme was started by the recitation of the verses from the Holy Qur’an by Master Salman Nahid, Mr. Waseem Patel presented its English translation. Mr. Saifur Rahman was the convenor for the programme. Dinner was arranged after the programme.

Let’s not dream for our children,Let them dream on their own

Udupi: Let’s not dream for our children, instead we need to teach them to dream on their own, said Maryam Shaheera, faculty of Hira Women’s College, Mangalore.

She was addressing the gathering of parents and children in a concluding ceremony of annual children festival of Islamic Children Circle organized by the women’s wing of Jamaat e Islami Hind Udupi district on 18 April 2013.

The bringing up of children should be to please Allah; all the men and women should understand their role in this regard, she added.

Emphasizing on the importance of the religious education for children along-with modern education, another speaker- assistant editor of the Anupama women’s monthly -Sajida Momin said, “only such kind of education can ensure the principled generation in future.”

Children from different parts of the district performed a variety of cultural programmes.

District organizer of the children circle Baseera Iram, organizers of women’s wing – Noorunnisa, Tabassum, Shanaz Begum, Humaira, Sameena Shukoor and Nuzhat- were also present at the occasion.

Earlier, various games and competitions to promote the talents of children were held at Little Paradise School Maple.

“Muslims must vote to defeat fascist forces”

Bangalore: “Islam is a complete way of life which encompasses every sphere of life including politics. Ensuing elections are an opportunity to vote for secular camps to defeat fascists’ parties so that the peaceful coexistence of citizens is ensured. Muslims must also evolve a long term strategy to empower themselves politically to cleanse the political arena and provide an alternative value based politics for a better India”, said Mr. Atharullah Sharief, member, state advisory committee, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Karnataka while addressing a gathering of intellectuals from the Muslim community here in BIFT on Sunday April 14.

Answering to a question, Mr. Sharief said that the Karnataka Muslim Muttahida Mahaz, which represents almost every group in Muslim community, is working on the strategy for Muslims in ensuing election, which will be made public very soon. Muslims must adopt the decisions made by Mahaz in this regard. Speaking on ‘precautions for voters during election’, Mr. B.M.Haneef, Assistant Editor, Sudha, a Kannada magazine, said that no party has sympathy towards Muslims’ issues. They just exploit Muslims and use them as vote-bank. We must not give ear to the fake promises or ‘once in five years’ deceptive incentives given by political parties to keep us away from voting or compel us to sell our votes. Moulana Mufti Muhammad Farooq Fouzan Rashadi, rector, Al Ma’hadul Ashraf, Bangalore presented the Qur’anic discource of a few verses from the Surah Rum and called upon Muslims to strengthen their unity to defeat the enemies of peace and harmony.

Dr. Muhammad Taha Mateen, Organisor, JIH Bangalore Metro in his inaugural talk came down heavily on the corrupt, communalized and criminalized politics which is ruining the entire nation badly. Mr. Sheikh Haroon Safdar, Assistant organisor, JIH Bangalore Metro compered the programme. The programme concluded with the Dua of Moulana Abul Bayan Hammad Umri.

‘Join to Shine’ GIO Campaign

Davangere: Girls Islamic Organisation Karnataka has announced associate making campaign from 10 to 20 May 2013 under the theme ‘Join to Shine’. During the campaign Islamic Camps and classes, girls conventions, individual meet, group meet, get to gather and literature distribution will be carried out. Hubli: 58% of spousal abuse cases, 25-30% of suicides and 52% rapes are committed under the influence of alcohol. So ban the Alcohol which is behind all the evils said Dr Fouzia Sultana, president FORWARD Trust. She was presiding the symposium organized by FORWARD Trust (Forum for Women’s Action for Rights and Dignity) an NGO working throughout Karnataka on 24^th March 2013 Sunday 3pm at Hotel Metropolis, Hubli.

She further talking about solutions said women should maintain her dignity and fight for due rights while she can make a happy family, healthy society and a prosperous nation.

Chief Guest Ms. Kusuma Mantur, Advocate, Hubli Dharwad Bar and High court said that “Education increases the self-confidence of the women. Man and women are wheels of a vehicle. Both should live in harmony to make a happy family. Broken families proNduce anti-social elements”. She also gave a call to not to misuse the laws.”

Dr. Savita D. Raichur Dermatologist and cosmetologist expressed her concern about number of raising sexual atrocities being committed against minor children. She gave useful tips to prevent such heinous crimes. She also reminded the audiences about on-going female foeticides in our country.”

Ms. Juliet Williamson Principal Mother Mary School said “one should proud to be a woman considering her roles in a home” She discussed about the problems faced by the working women.”

Ms. Sheila Mirji, Advocate, Vice President Hubli Bar Association said “Education produces a cultured women, which they pass on to their families. She also threw light on gender inequality in the society.”

The Programme began with the prayer recitation by Ms. Uzma MIrza. The Key note address was delivered by Ms. Sajidunnisa, convenor women’s wing Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka in which she whole heartedly welcomed the chief guests and introduced them to the audiences. She also threw light on the activities of FORWARD Trust which is an NGO-a state level organization run by women for the sake of women, aims at the complete development of women. It has various progressive schemes to help women establish her identity without compromising her respect, dignity and self-esteem. Also FORWARD strives to make women financially independent by providing training to her in self-employment. Along with that, to provide mental peace, secure family, free family counselling centres’ are being run throughout Karnataka. Women from all sections of the society are being immensely benefitted by these.

Jamaat Youth Wing organizes “A Trip for Change”

BANGALORE. Mar. 20, 2013. The Youth Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), Bangalore North set out on a one-day trip to Kolar Mountains on Sunday 17th March 2013. Around 25 activists joined this trip of ‘edutainment’ led by Janab Laeequllah Khan Mansoori, coordinator, Youth Wing, JIH Bangalore North. The journey was flagged off by the dua of Janab Syed Ruhulla sb, Secretary, JIH Bangalore Metro in the morning. Janab Naveed Imran Maniyar, coordinator, Youth Wing, JIH Bangalore Central read out the detailed supplication (dua) of journey. Janab Laeequllah Khan Mansoori (Ameer-e-Safar) explained it. This was followed by a session of mutual introduction during the journey, enjoying the view of mountains on both sides of the highway as the team approached Kolar.

The trip-team was welcomed by the team of Students Islamic Organisation of India, Kolar Unit. After a break for refreshments, a session of interaction was coordinated by the Ameer-e-Safar on the Islamic perspectives of ‘journey and entertainment’ highlighting the greater journey of every man towards hereafter and provision for entertainment in Islam through various examples from Quran and Seerah. Janab Imtiyaz Baig briefed the whole day’s schedule in his inaugural talk. This was followed by a discussion on the ‘lessons from the story of Ashab-e-Kahf’ moderated by Janab Laeeq Mansoori. Janab Naveed Imran introduced Youth Wing JIH and its ambitions in detail. This was followed by a session on ‘Life Management’ conducted by Janab Laeequllah Khan Mansoori. An Islamic Quiz was conducted in the afternoon session and winners were felicitated.

It was around 4 pm that the team left to sightseeing and mountaineering. The bus took us to the heights of the greater mountains of Kolar. The youths went on a further trekking to have a panoramic view of Kolar town from atop the mountain. The team returned from the mountain and headed towards a lake surrounded by mountain rocks where the team competed in sports. On the return journey to Bangalore, the Ameer-e-Safar explained the lessons that the mountains and Allah’s nature teach us. The team offered Magrib in congregation in a mosque on the highway, probably made for travelers. Al Hamdulillah, every individual enjoyed the trip and was charged up to contribute for the betterment of the society.

Youth Wing demand Fair & Furious inquiry in to Dilsukhnagar Hyderabad Blast

Udupi District Muslim Okkuta President Moidinabba said their are many political controversies developing to tone down Muslim community. Muslim youths harassed whenever such incidents happened in the country. Why our national intelligentsia are failing to prevent such incidents instead of pre-information he asked.

Media is highlighting convicts with their spurious reports but when yesterday Mutiur Rahman a Journalist was given clean chit by NIA their was no such a space in same news papers. National intelligentsia is repeated failing to prevent such incidents, while they have ready post event reports said spokes person JIH Idrees Hoode with sharing pain of died and injured relatives of Hyderabad blast.
