Ameer-e-Jamaat Moulana Syed Jalaluddeen Umari Visits Karnataka

Bangalore: Moulana Syed Jalaluddeen Umari saheb, National President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind visited Karnataka during 27th January to 3rd February 2016. A series of programmes have been held in Bangalore, Hassan, Arehalli and Udupi. Special meetings were arranged with the honourable chief minister  of Karnataka Mr. Siddaramaiah, the Additional Director General of Police, Bangalore (ADGP) Mr. Alok Mohan and the former chief minister of Karnataka H.D. Kumar Swamy during the Ameer’s visit. Moulana urged the government of Karnataka to release the innocents and put an end to the ongoing practice of targeting minorities, abolish liquor for a healthy state and promote peace and harmony in the society. Moulana Umari also presided an elite gathering of Ulama in BIFT Auditorium on Wednesday the 27th January on the national and international scenario and the responsibilities of Ummah. The president inaugurated the ICU of  HBS Hospital in the city. He also presented the Keynote address in the Inter-Religious Conference on Prophet Muhammad (s)-The Pinnacle of Humanity held at the Ambedkar Bhavan on 30th January evening. Moulana addressed the Jamaat’s cadre at Darussalaam Hall. On his way to Mangalore, he addressed a public programme on “Guidance from the life of Prophet Muhammad (s) in today’s scenario” organised by the Hassan unit at Islamic Centre, Hassan. A session of local ulama was organised for interaction with the Moualan at the Masjid Hira in Arehalli of Hassan district. He also addressed a public programme at the same venue. Later he laid a foundation stone of Salihat College in Hoode of Udupi district and addressed it’s grand function.
