Udupi: Jamat-e- Islami Hind udupi held  ‘Welcome Ramadan’ get together programme here at Hotel Durga International auditorium on Thursday July 19 evening.

Janab B S Sharfuddin visiting faculty of IGNOU Center, Kuwait was the chief guest of the function. In his message Sharfuddin said that, you can expect good things to come your way if you can do good to everybody. “One has to give others being unselfish. People have more of disbelief today than beliefs.  Although different religions co-exist, Hindus don’t know about Muslims, Muslims don’t know much about Hindus.”

“You need to study the original religious texts of those religions, then only can you know the originality. Fasting is the Spring time. This is symbolic of keeping away from evil.  Every  one has to calculate his zakat during this month. This money is utilised towards the benefit of the poor”, he said.

The function was attended by a large number of all community  people. Mohammed  Markada, Hussain Kodi Bengre; Shabbir Ahmed were present on the occasion.
